Surgical Technologist
The OR Technician is responsible for performing the duties of a scrub technician and assists in the operative procedure by preparation of unsterile equipment and supplies. Ability to understand and use autoclave, sonic cleaner and rinser /dryer. Assists with the preparation of the Operating Room for surgical procedures. Assists with skin preparations and with draping the patient. Knows and practices the principles of sterile technique.
Extensive walking and standing in supervising the clinical area. Pushing, pulling, lifting of patients and equipment. Requires physical stamina for extended hours; mental clarity and alertness for critical decision making.
High school graduate or GED required.
Successful completion of Operating Room Technician course or prior operating room technician experience required.
CPR certification required.
Two years satisfactory previous employment preferred.
Pay: Up to $30.50 per hour
