Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general upkeep and repairs throughout the resort. This role supports buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesGeneral Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs resort-wide
- Complete basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager
- Maintain resort buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds
- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance programs
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failure and safety risks
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all federal and state safety regulations
- Adhere to established safety guidelines for the use and storage of tools, equipment, and chemicals
- Use safe work practices to prevent accidents involving guests or team members
- Immediately report any damage, hazards, or safety concerns to management
Tools, Equipment & Vehicles
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Operate resort vehicles and equipment as needed
- Tow, park, and maneuver recreational vehicles in tight spaces with attention to detail
- Operate commercial vehicles (experience preferred)
Guest & Team Interaction
- Provide excellent, friendly guest service
- Be attentive, responsive, and helpful to guests and fellow team members
- Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and coworkers
Additional Duties
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & RequirementsSkills & Experience
- Prior maintenance experience preferred
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask with attention to detail
- Ability to understand verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to lift 30–40 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, climb, reach, pull, and grasp for extended periods
Schedule & Availability
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Direct deposit capability and valid Social Security card required
Employment with Lost Valley Lake Resort is contingent upon a successful background screen and pre-employment drug test. Applicants who have failed a pre-employment screen or have been terminated from Lost Valley Lake Resort are ineligible for employment consideration for 12 months. You will become eligible for consideration 12 months from the date of your incident (pre-employment screen or termination). Driving records are required for all new employees regardless of the position's driving requirements.
