We are looking for a Public Relations Officer in La Jolla, CA.
Essential Functions:

Responsible for planning, organizing, and writing various internal and external communications and coordinating public relations events to achieve the company's public relations objectives.

Promote and protect the reputation of the company and its products, its employees and its initiatives.

Identify public relations opportunities and recommend company participation in or sponsorship of community events.

Work with management and partners to plan and implement public relations activities, including press releases, media pitching, social media posts, etc.

Establishes and maintains relationships with local, national, and industry news media.

Track media mentions, reputation reports, and industry trends.

Manage the blog editorial calendar, website publishing, and social media accounts.

Coordinate public relation activities to support and enhance marketing programs and initiatives, new products and company sponsorships.

Represent company at various public events.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 6+ years of directly related experience.

Frequently seeks out the development of new PR theories and methods.

Employs advanced knowledge as a generalist or specialist of written communications, public relations, journalism, and computers.

Good organizational, communication, customer service and problem solving skills.

Word processing skills required.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $93,000 - $114,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience and location
