We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to support the maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and electrical systems in a high-volume industrial environment. This role provides technical leadership for troubleshooting, equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and control system optimization while supporting safety, operational excellence, and workforce development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment through active participation in safety initiatives and adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.
- Provide technical support and leadership during planned and unplanned equipment outages and breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical, control, and automation systems, including: Medium- and high-voltage equipment, DC power distribution systems, Air compressors, CNC machinery, Crane radio control systems, Industrial networks, PLC systems, AC and DC drives
- Support engineering teams during equipment upgrades, startup activities, commissioning, and optimization projects.
- Train and mentor supervisors, maintenance technicians, and craftspeople to enhance technical capabilities across the organization.
- Develop and execute technical training programs to support workforce development and upskilling initiatives.
- Create, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and maintenance documentation.
- Provide technical input and support for preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Recommend and implement equipment and control system improvements to increase reliability, performance, and equipment life cycle.
- Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for recurring equipment and process issues.
- Maintain technical documentation and records related to troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Support critical spare parts management and inventory planning.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies and reliability best practices to daily operations.
- Provide occasional off-shift and weekend support as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Must meet U.S. person requirements as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), including U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents (Green Card holders), Political Asylees, or Refugees.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship, equivalent hands-on electrical training, or an electrical degree from an accredited technical institution.
- Broad industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Experience working with combustion systems and commercial or industrial boilers.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining medium- and high-voltage electrical systems.
- Knowledge of industrial network systems and communications.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Proven experience diagnosing equipment failures, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and industrial automation systems.
- Working knowledge of AC/DC motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and motor control systems.
- Understanding of process control and instrumentation principles.
