Job Summary: Responsible for inventory movement and assembly supplies for assembly lines.
Essential Functions:
- Part awareness and knowledge of how to read a Part Quality Standard and a Nifco Packaging
Information Form.
- Ability and license to operate an assigned forklift.
- Ensure production schedule is met daily and Assembly lines only have inventory/packaging stocked
with 4 hours MAX worth.
- Transfer parts to and from the assembly floor as necessary.
- Assist associates with day-to-day issues, communicating any escalated issues found to unit indirect
leadership when necessary.
- Ensure and verify packaged parts and labels are in compliance per the NPIF
- Use scanners, WOW app, master labels, and skid sheets for inventory transactions.
- Basic material, MES badge scanner, Printer, PPH target, and packaging supplies knowledge.
- Pull components and/or finished goods for shipments.
- Warehouse and physical inventory duties.
- Follow FIFO, line set up, & skid sheet rule when moving inventory.
- Identification and handling of non-conforming product.
- Operate high technology assembly machinery/station, if required.
- Strictly follow up on Work Instructions, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure the documented IATF quality system is followed relating to the Manufacturing function.
- Ensure 5S is followed.
- Familiar with and can locate SDS sheets and is familiar with OSHA’s “Right to Know” Policy.
- Has basic Environmental knowledge and completes Safety Orientation.
- Other tasks assigned by Management as needed.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Other assigned tasks as needed.
Education:
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience/Skills:
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, analytical, persuasion, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience handling quality concerns.
- Must display positive leadership qualities.
- Understand the importance of communicating with all departments.
- Proven ability to handle distribution issues.
- Forklift certification required (by Nifco)
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently with very little supervision.
Physical/Ergonomic Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
