Duties include but are not limited to:
· Researching and identifying suppliers and vendors
· Monitoring and receiving bids and purchase orders
· Determining inventory needs and ordering more materials when necessary
· Responding to customer supplier inquires and order status
· Providing support and maintaining records throughout the procurement process
· Maintain purchasing contracts, policies, and procedures
· Recording information about bids including date, receipt, and name on bid
· Purchasing products and materials at the lowest cost with the best quality
· Verifies invoices from vendors prior to payment
· Maintains records of invoices, reports, and receipts
· Other duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related work experience; or Associate degree plus 4 years work related experience ; other job related education or experience may be substituted for all or part of these requirements
· Knowledge of procurement laws and procedures
· Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
· Strong computer skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with a diverse group of personnel
