Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various roofing techniques and materials, with a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves working on residential and commercial roofing projects, ensuring quality installation and repair of roofs while adhering to safety standards. The Roofer will collaborate with other construction professionals and contribute to a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles.
- Perform inspections to assess roof conditions and identify necessary repairs or replacements.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in all roofing tasks.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution.
- Frame carpentry tasks as needed, including metal stud framing and drywall installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Roofer or in a related construction role is preferred.
- Familiarity with frame carpentry, trim carpentry, drywall installation, and metal stud framing is advantageous.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding construction plans.
- Ability to plumb structures accurately during installation processes.
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks.
