Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid Pennsylvania TDHH license.
- Demonstrated experience supporting K-12 students in educational settings.
- Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) to effectively communicate with at least one student on your caseload.
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families.
- Compassion, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Assess student needs, develop tailored strategies, and adapt curriculum materials.
- Serve as a liaison and resource for classroom teachers and school staff.
- Monitor and document student progress, participating in IEP meetings as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and school personnel to promote student success and inclusion.
