General Service Technician
Position Overview:
The General Service Technician at Piedmont Lube Centers, LLC plays an important role in delivering exceptional customer service by performing quality preventive maintenance services and helping maintain safe, efficient store operations. This individual uses their automotive knowledge to inspect vehicles, identify maintenance needs, and provide professional service while following company policies and safety standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well in a fast-paced team environment, and is committed to delivering quality workmanship and an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Deliver fast, friendly, and professional service to every customer.
- Explain vehicle maintenance recommendations clearly and honestly.
- Answer customer questions and help create a positive service experience.
Vehicle Services
- Help maintain store cleanliness, equipment, and overall presentation.
- Ensure company policies, safety procedures, and operating standards are followed.
- Coordinate daily workflow to support safe and efficient operations.
- Inspect, replace, and repair defective parts while performing preventive maintenance services.
- Analyze and diagnose common automotive concerns.
- Apply automotive repair knowledge to perform maintenance and basic repair services.
- Stay current on new automotive technologies and service techniques through ongoing learning.
Operations
- Perform preventive maintenance services and support the team as business needs require.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work as part of a team to provide efficient, high-quality service.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of automotive service or engine diagnostic experience
- Technician tools required
- ASE Certification in Brakes and/or A/C preferred, but not required
- Strong automotive repair knowledge
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Professional, honest work ethic
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working in shop environments and outdoor conditions
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Weekend availability required
- Valid driver's license required
- Reliable transportation
