Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair structured cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, and telecommunication wiring in commercial and industrial settings
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute network installation projects
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues and complete repairs efficiently
- Conduct field service visits to client sites for system upgrades, maintenance, or emergency repairs with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Adhere to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and low-voltage wiring regulations during all installation activities
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with CCTV installation and maintenance is highly desirable
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical wiring standards (NEC), and telecommunication protocols
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and specialized testing equipment safely and effectively
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Relevant certifications such as BICSI certification or telecommunications training are preferred but not required
