Job Summary-
We’re looking for a compassionate, detail‑oriented Intake Specialist to be the first point of contact for patients seeking care. In this role, you’ll handle clinical assessments, coordinate essential information, and ensure each patient feels welcomed, understood, and supported from the very first interaction.

Key Responsibilities
· Perform thorough pre‑screenings, ensuring patients are connected to the right services and care pathways.
· Gather and verify patient demographics, insurance information, clinical details, and necessary documentation.
· Complete ASAM assessments (American Society of Addiction Medicine criteria) to determine appropriate level of care and ensure accurate placement into treatment services.
· Collaborate with clinical teams to support smooth transitions into care.
· Maintain accurate, timely entries in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Provide clear communication and compassionate guidance about service options, intake requirements, timelines, and next steps.
- Identify urgent or high‑risk situations and escalate appropriately.
- Uphold confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) required; Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in substance use disorder or mental health treatment is preferred. Familiarity with managed care, level-of-care assessments, and utilization reviews is a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills are essential.
