Responsibilities

- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring stock levels are adequate and merchandise is well-presented through merchandising efforts.
- Handle cash drawer operations responsibly, including cash handling, balancing registers at shift end, and managing various payment methods.
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and replenishing inventory to ensure the store remains inviting and well-stocked.
- Use effective phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or coordinating store activities, demonstrating clear communication skills.
- Support supervisory staff by supervising team members when needed, contributing to a positive team environment.
- Engage customers in product demos and promote store promotions or special offers to enhance sales performance.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of store products and retail math to provide accurate information and handle transactions confidently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers in both bilingual environments and monolingual settings.
- Proficiency in POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations; basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Demonstrated ability to perform cashier duties efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, and inventory management practices.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent phone etiquette skills for professional communication with customers over the phone or in person.
