Position Overview
Fearing’s Audio Video & Security is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial AV Commissioning & Service Specialist to lead the commissioning, optimization, and long-term performance of complex commercial audiovisual systems. This role requires advanced technical expertise, independent judgment, and systems-level problem solving across a variety of client environments.
The position operates with minimal supervision and plays a key role in ensuring system functionality, customer satisfaction, and technical excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning, validation, and optimization of complex commercial AV systems
- Evaluate system designs, installation quality, and scopes of work to ensure technical accuracy and performance standards
- Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues across control, audio, video, DSP, and networked AV environments
- Configure and manage control systems (QSYS/Crestron) and other DSP platforms, including programming modifications and performance tuning
- Oversee system-level integration, including IP-addressable devices and AV-over-IP architectures
- Serve as a technical resource for engineering, installation, and service teams
- Provide customer-facing technical guidance, training, and system handoff documentation
- Support service escalations and advanced troubleshooting efforts
- Contribute to continuous improvement of commissioning standards, documentation, and best practices
- Perform other professional duties as required to support business objectives
Qualifications & Professional Experience
- Associate degree in Electronics, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in commercial AV commissioning, service, or systems integration
- Demonstrated expertise with AMX and/or Crestron control platforms
- Advanced DSP programming and tuning experience
- Required experience with AVoIP, Dante, and modern networked AV systems
- Strong working knowledge of IP networking principles
- Proven ability to analyze complex technical problems and implement effective solutions
- Experience leading small to mid-sized system deployments or commissioning efforts
- CTS certification preferred

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
