You will work independently with limited direct supervision. Working outside means working in South Florida heat, sun, humidity, and light rain when conditions are safe. We do not work when lightning, flooding, dangerous heat, or another unsafe condition requires a delay.
By the nature of the job, you will handle pet waste using professional tools and bags. You will encounter odors and other natural outdoor conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Drive an assigned local residential route using your approved personal vehicle
- Remove dog waste thoroughly using company equipment and our trained yard-scanning process
- Double-check every yard for quality
- Protect dogs, gates, customer property, and private information
- Secure and document the gate after service
- Disinfect tools and footwear between properties
- Record accurate time, mileage, photos, service notes, and exceptions
- Communicate professionally with customers and the office
- Report hazards, aggressive dogs, access problems, vehicle issues, and missed-service risks immediately
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving eligibility
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Working smartphone with reliable data service
- Available for the Friday route and occasional Monday makeup work
- Comfortable working outdoors in South Florida conditions
- Comfortable working around dogs while following strict dog-safety rules
- Willing to handle pet waste and follow sanitation procedures
- Able to perform the job’s essential walking, bending, tool-handling, and lifting duties, including lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, with reasonable accommodation where applicable
- Willing to complete the approved background and motor-vehicle screening process after a conditional offer
- Able to read and write in English, follow detailed instructions, use GPS and a smartphone app, and communicate clearly with customers and the office
- Spanish-speaking ability is preferred, but not required
A good sense of humor and a pleasant disposition will suit you well in this position. The job can be physically demanding and fast-paced, but it is extremely important that we provide excellent customer service and complete every assigned yard carefully.
If interested, please apply directly and answer every screening question completely. Qualified applicants will be invited to a short phone interview.
