Responsibilities
- Lead classroom instruction with enthusiasm, ensuring active student engagement through innovative lesson planning and educational technology integration
- Develop and adapt curricula that meet individual needs, including modifications for students with disabilities and those requiring specialized support
- Collaborate closely with educational, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support students’ developmental progress
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using evidence-based behavior management techniques
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements through regular Brightwheel
- Mentor and support teaching staff, fostering a collaborative team environment committed to continuous improvement in special education practices
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood or elementary education settings, including classroom management and lesson planning
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, early intervention techniques, and developmental disabilities
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and team coordination
- Demonstrated ability to work with students with diverse backgrounds
- Experience working in a daycare or school setting, and has a LOVE for children
