Yorozu Automotive Alabama is looking for a highly motivated individual who is self-directed and able to work with very little supervision. This position will require a flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed.
Candidate of choice will have experience in mechanical stamping press maintenance and repair. Maintain, repair, and monitor company equipment to insure proper condition and working order. Assists with new projects and routine set up and maintenance of production equipment and facilities. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to the equipment as well as trouble shoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains, repairs and rebuilds mechanical items on presses;
- Maintains, repairs and rebuilds welders, tappers, and other production equipment;
- Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, cut-off saws, band saws, and other welding equipment or other metalworking tools to make and repair equipment;
- Maintains log on all presses and perform preventative maintenance duties to support company PM program, including changing oils and other lubricants, filters; checking pressures, switches and buttons, cords, hoses, and other press equipment and supply systems; repair and maintains sprayer systems including fixtures, hoses, connectors, etc.
Qualifications and Skills
- Metal stamping press maintenance experience;
- Requires good communication, reasoning, math, and some computer skills;
- Working knowledge of PLC's, robotics, mechanical stamping, hydraulic and pneumatic press maintenance, welding is a plus;
- Ability to read blueprints, code requirements, service manuals and manufacturers’ specifications;
- Assess process concepts and determine where continuous improvement opportunities exist
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed;
