Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform basic math calculations with precision
- Maintain proper cash handling procedures and balance cash drawers at the end of each shift
- Upsell products and promote store promotions or product demos to enhance customer experience
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions about products, store policies, and services
- Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and ensuring products are properly displayed and labeled
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math calculations
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is a plus but not required
- Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills to handle customer inquiries professionally
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, including stocking and merchandising practices
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products and deliver outstanding customer service
