About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and driven Purchasing Coordinator to lead our procurement function. This role oversees vendor management, purchasing strategy, cost control, and inventory sourcing, ensuring that materials and products are sourced efficiently, delivered on time, and meet quality and cost expectations.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on building strong vendor relationships, analyzing data to make smart purchasing decisions, and playing a key role in keeping production and fulfillment running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Lead and oversee all purchasing functions, including material and product sourcing
- Work with others to analyze sales and inventory data to determine optimal purchasing levels and reorder points
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with operational goals and cost targets
- Issue, manage, and track purchase orders with accurate specifications, pricing, and timelines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to improve margins and reduce lead times
- Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular evaluations for quality, reliability, and cost
- Collaborate with production, fulfillment, and customer service teams to align procurement with operational needs
- Maintain and enforce purchasing policies and ensure adherence to company standards
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and vendor consolidation
- Provide regular reporting on purchasing KPIs and inventory levels to leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, and/or inventory management
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills
- Proficient in Google Suite and spreadsheet management
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for vendor management
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
