Responsibilities
- Supervise children during before and after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, creativity, and physical activity
- Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline strategies and effective behavior management techniques
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and team members to support each child's individual needs
- Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to learning and play
- Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response plans
- Support children with special education needs or behavioral challenges with patience and tailored strategies
- Transport to and from school
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Valid certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols
- Experience in early childhood education or childhood development is desirable
- Ability to supervise children safely during outdoor activities or field trips and transporting to and from school
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children
- Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports diverse learners and needs
