About the Role
As a Tower Technician II on our Inspections team, you’ll work alongside experienced industry professionals to perform telecom maintenance and equipment repairs. This position requires 100% travel time throughout the United States. Forge25 provides the training, certifications, and hands-on experience to help you succeed.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the construction, maintenance and modification of telecommunications towers and related structures.
- Safely climb and work on towers at elevated heights in various weather conditions.
- Assemble and install tower components, fixed-ladder safety cable systems, antennas, mounts, and transmission lines according to specifications and engineering standards.
- Use power tools and hoists/capstan equipment to complete construction and rigging tasks efficiently and safely.
- Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Adhere to all company and industry safety standards, including fall protection, competent rigging, and RF awareness.
- Support crew leads and foremen in completing projects on time and within quality standards.
- Perform site clean-up and ensure work areas are maintained in a safe, organized manner.
- Accurately complete required reports, logs, closeout photos, and documentation for each project.
- Participate in ongoing safety and technical training provided by the company.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in the telecommunications or tower industry, specifically including rigging experience (1-2 years).
- Previous certifications in Competent Rigging and Capstan Hoist Operation.
- Ability to read Construction Design Drawings and Engineering standards and specifications.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness and ability to travel (100%).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Comfortable working outdoors and at elevated heights.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous Competent Climber & Rescuer Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification (preferably OSHA 30)
