Job Title: Senior Structural EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing structural engineering team, focusing on a mix of renovation and new construction projects across the New York metro area. This position is a replacement hire due to a recent resignation and requires an engineer who can step in quickly and contribute immediately to active projects. The ideal candidate will have strong structural design experience and be capable of handling projects from concept through construction administration, contributing to design work, supporting project delivery, and collaborating with team members on technical execution.
Responsibilities-
Develop structural designs for steel, concrete, and cold-formed systems.

Perform structural calculations, sizing, and analysis.

Lead or contribute to projects from concept through construction administration.

Review, coordinate, and produce construction documents with drafting support available.

Stamp drawings and take ownership of engineering deliverables.

Coordinate with architects and internal teams.

Support junior engineers and collaborate across disciplines.
Essential Skills-
Experience in Structural Engineering Design.

Hands-on design work with materials such as steel, concrete, and cold-formed systems.

Broad material experience preferred over niche specialization.

Capability to take projects from concept through construction administration.

Experience working in NYC or comparable urban environments.

Comfortable signing off on work and taking engineering responsibility.
Additional Skills & Qualifications-
5–15+ years of experience.

Strong communication skills and project ownership mindset.

Ability to verify and clearly articulate project experience.

Proven track record of completed projects.

Experience working directly with clients and architects is preferred.
Work Environment
This is an office-based role (5 days onsite in NYC) within a collaborative structural engineering team, with dedicated drafting support available. While the role is primarily office-based, flexibility is offered when needed, though it is not a formal hybrid position. The team provides a supportive environment with opportunities for career growth and exposure to diverse project types, including renovation and new construction.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
