Your Role as a Family Medicine Physician
AMG is opening a new clinic in Wingate, NC, with a target opening date approximately 120 days from now, and we're beginning recruitment today. This is a unique opportunity to be a founding physician at a brand-new location—helping shape the clinic's culture, patient base, and clinical operations from the ground up. You will deliver full-spectrum primary care to patients of all ages, working closely with the broader AMG clinical and administrative team as the practice grows. This role reports to the Chief Medical Officer.
What You'll Do
✔ Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from infants through geriatric patients.
✔ Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions across the full patient lifespan.
✔ Perform routine preventive care, screenings, and health maintenance visits.
✔ Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures as clinically indicated.
✔ Provide chronic disease management and patient education on treatment plans.
✔ Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
✔ Collaborate with and provide clinical guidance to NPs, PAs, MAs, and other support staff.
✔ Help establish clinical workflows, patient care standards, and team culture as a founding provider at a new clinic location. ✔ Ensure safe, compassionate, high-quality care is delivered at every patient encounter.
What We're Looking For
- MD from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program
- Strong clinical skills across infant, adolescent, adult, and geriatric care
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR), preferably Athena
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
- A positive attitude, initiative, and comfort helping build a new clinic from the ground up
- Commitment to continuous learning
- 2+ years of experience preferred; new graduates willing to be trained are encouraged to apply
Licenses & Certifications
- Active, unrestricted NC Medical License (MD) required
- DEA Registration required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (ABFM or AOBFP)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required (or must be obtained upon hire)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Schedule begins at 40 patient-facing hours per week, transitioning to 32 patient-facing hours plus 8 admin hours per week once a full patient load is reached.
