What You'll Do
As the Accounting Manager, you'll serve as the financial leader for the hotel, partnering closely with the General Manager and Corporate Finance to ensure financial accuracy, strong internal controls, and sound business decisions.
You'll be responsible for:
Financial Leadership
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and reports
- Analyze operating results and identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Monitor revenue, labor costs, and departmental expenses
- Present financial information to hotel leadership
Accounting Operations
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Review daily revenue and night audit reporting
- Maintain accurate general ledger activity
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
- Ensure proper tax reporting and compliance
Hotel Operations Support
- Resolve guest billing issues professionally
- Monitor aging receivables and collections
- Review contracts, commissions, and revenue postings
- Ensure proper inventory controls
- Partner with department leaders to improve financial performance
Leadership
- Lead and develop the accounting team
- Establish strong financial controls and procedures
- Coach, train, and mentor team members
- Drive accountability and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
✔ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
✔ Hotel accounting experience strongly preferred
✔ Experience with hotel PMS systems
✔ Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
✔ Excellent communication and leadership abilities
✔ Someone who enjoys solving problems—not just reporting them
