Duties
- Prepare and cook breakfast menu items with precision, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in menu planning to ensure variety and quality in breakfast offerings.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling, and cooking ingredients using proper knife skills and techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Support food service operations by ensuring timely meal preparation and presentation during busy mornings.
- Follow all food handling regulations to guarantee safe and sanitary meal production.
- Collaborate with team members on catering or special breakfast events to deliver excellent service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within restaurants or the food industry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are essential for efficiency in this role.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling procedures, and sanitation practices is required.
- Experience in fine dining or catering environments will be advantageous.
- Ability to work early mornings in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new culinary techniques and supporting colleagues.
