Since 1972, Burnex Corporation, located in Ringwood, IL has been a world class leader in manufacturing precision metal stampings, wire forms and intricately designed custom and standard metal parts for a wide range of industries and applications.
We are looking for a Punch Press Operator to work on 1st shift. Applicants must have experience on punch press, specifically setting up dies. Should be mechanically inclined, capable of reading a print and using a caliper, micrometer, and other inspection equipment. Must be reliable and have a great attitude.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Set up dies and operate presses performing a limited variety of component operations
- Obtain first piece inspection release, check products for dimensions, burrs, broken punches, cracking or buckling, and visually inspect components for obvious damage or defects before staging.
- Work from drawings, shop orders, samples, use a limited variety of measuring equipment.
- Notify supervisor regarding necessity of reconditioning or sharpening dies, difficulties with parts or tooling, malfunction of equipment.
- Move material, parts, dies or containers, using hand truck, segregate and remove scrap.
- Work well with different departments.
- Follow prescribed safety practice including use of all safety equipment furnished.
Hours: Monday – Friday | Between 7:00 am – 3:30pm
Salary: Hourly Wage Will Depend on Experience
