Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Control Panel Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical control panel assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting, with an understanding of electrical schematics and technical drawings. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, building high-quality control panels for a variety of commercial and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
· Assemble, wire, and troubleshoot commercial control panels based on electrical schematics and drawings.
· Layout and mount components such as relays, circuit breakers, switches, BAS controllers and PLCs on control panels.
· Ensure all panels meet quality standards and industry regulations.
· Perform point-to-point wiring, including proper crimping, routing, and labeling.
· Collaborate with engineering teams to improve designs and solve issues.
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required; Technical certification in electrical or electronics is a plus.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in control panel building or related field.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
· Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, as well as multimeters and other testing equipment.
· Strong understanding of electrical components and wiring techniques.
· Familiarity with NEC standards and safety protocols.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with BAS and PLC wiring and programming.
· Knowledge of UL 508A standards for control panels.
· Familiarity with automation systems and industrial controls.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
