Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and client-focused full-time Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll work directly with clients to provide customer service, assist with policy inquiries, process policy changes, quote and sell new business, and support the agency's overall operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, independent, sales-minded, and possesses strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and service Personal Lines accounts (new business, renewals, endorsements).
- Monitor accounts for accurate and timely renewals while identifying opportunities for additional insurance products.
- Quote and bind new policies.
- Assist with policy inquiries (i.e., issue ID cards, binders, and certificates upon request).
- Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
- Resolve billing questions and process payments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with agency standards.
- Coordinate with carriers and underwriting teams regarding client inquiries as needed.
- Conduct regular account reviews to assess coverage adequacy.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to provide informed advice to clients.
- Support agency sales efforts and client retention.
Qualifications
- Insurance experience in customer service, sales, or account management for 3 years or more; independent agency experience preferred but not required.
- Active New York State P&C License is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Computer skills are a must! Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shift (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM); Early closure on Friday at 4:30 PM
- In-person role located in West Nyack, NY
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $50,000 – $65,000 per year, depending on experience
