Duties
- Manage incoming property insurance claims, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to company policies and regulatory standards
- Conduct detailed analysis of claim information using estimating software such as Xactimate or similar tools to determine coverage and liability
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to gather necessary information and clarify claim details
- Negotiate claim settlements with policyholders, vendors, and third parties while maintaining a focus on fairness and regulatory compliance
- Detect potential fraud or suspicious activity through diligent review of claim data and documentation
- Coordinate with liability and casualty insurance teams for complex claims involving multiple coverage types
- Prepare comprehensive reports on claim status, settlement recommendations, and investigation findings for management review
Requirements
- Proven experience in property insurance claims processing, including casualty or liability insurance claims adjudication
- Strong knowledge of insurance law, workers' compensation law, and insurance regulation standards applicable to claims handling
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Xactimate or similar tools used for auto estimating and property damage assessment
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with customer service expertise to manage client communications effectively
- Analytical mindset with strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple claims efficiently
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in claims processing and fraud prevention techniques
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting purposes
- Experience with financial software relevant to claims management is a plus
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law is highly desirable

Pay: $49,663.92 - $59,810.31 per year
