Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in special education from an accredited college/university program.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- A valid driver’s license along with auto insurance and reliable transportation (mileage and parking expenses reimbursed).
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in special education from an accredited college/ university program.
- Experience with providing early and/or special education services of at least 1 year.
- Experience working with young children, special needs children, and/or families of at least 1 year.

Job Description:
United Cerebral Palsy is looking to hire a full-time special education teacher to be a member of a multidisciplinary team to support and provide services for children from birth to age 3 with developmental delays or disabilities in their natural environment (home, daycare, etc.) serving the South East Honolulu area for Hawaii’s Early Intervention Services (EI/ EIS).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary team, providing support through Primary Service Provider model and coaching model while utilizing special educational techniques/ strategies, providing services in the clients’ natural environment (home, school, daycare, etc.), conducting EI evaluations and assessments, supporting families during home visits and meetings, participating in the development of Individualized Family Support Plans, connecting families to resources, attend/ facilitate/ participate in a variety of meetings, and maintaining billable hours as outlined by the Dept. of Health-EIS and keeps participant records in accordance with Federal, State, and United Cerebral Palsy’s requirements.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
