As a Butcher Shop Associate for The Meat Dudes, you will play a vital role for our brand new locally sourced meat case located in Little Jaye Cafe in South Park. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for beef and a desire for stability and a supportive team based environment.
We are looking to fill 2 shifts, Saturday and Sunday, 8am-3pm. This is a newly created role at Little Jaye and we are looking for a creative mind that can help develop our customer base and be excited about our mission to create resources in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and thrive in fast paced busy environments.
- Learn about our products and be able to educate customers with accurate information.
- Vacuum seal products correctly and label with correct pricing.
- Ability to stay clean and organized
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of all prep areas and storage spaces.
- Keep proper dates and labels on all consumables while following proper rotational standards.
- Help with receiving and storing deliveries properly.
- Work collaboratively with team members across all departments.
- Provide customer service support when needed.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Friendly, hardworking, and accountable with excellent teamwork mindset
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Previous butchery or grocery deli experience not needed but highly recommended
- Basic understanding of food safety and cleanliness standards
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Comfortable working across multiple stations and learning new skills
- Must be willing and available to work weekends
- Ability to problem solve for customer service in a calm manner
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment
