Responsibilities
- Supervise students during outdoor recess, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Enforce school policies and procedures related to student conduct and safety regulations
- Manage student behavior through positive behavior management techniques and conflict resolution strategies
- Assist students with physical disabilities or special education needs to ensure inclusive participation in recess activities
- Respond promptly to emergencies or injuries using first aid skills, including CPR when necessary
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding behavioral concerns or safety issues
- Support evacuation procedures and transportation safety protocols during recess activities when required
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, or recreational settings is preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies for students with special needs or disabilities is highly desirable
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified
- Familiarity with school policies, safety regulations, and conflict management techniques is advantageous
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally and maintain a respectful demeanor in all interactions
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents
- Experience supporting children with physical disabilities or special education requirements is beneficial
Pay: $26.86 per hour
