Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
Hours: Monday-Friday with a flexible schedule. Two shifts each week must be worked until 7:00 PM.

TriSource Staffing Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Peer Support Partner to support families navigating behavioral health and community support systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has personally cared for a child with behavioral health or mental health needs and wants to use their lived experience to empower other families.
The ideal candidate has firsthand experience helping a child in your family access social services, crisis intervention, emergency services, or long-term community behavioral health resources and is passionate about helping others successfully navigate those systems.
As a Family Peer Support Partner, you will provide guidance, encouragement, and advocacy to families while working collaboratively with clinical and care coordination teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a peer mentor and coach for families navigating behavioral health, social service, and community support systems.
- Partner with Intensive Care Coordinators (ICC), Wraparound Facilitators, and multidisciplinary care teams to support families receiving High Fidelity Wraparound or other team-based services.
- Empower youth and families by encouraging their voice and choice during care planning and team meetings.
- Help families identify strengths, needs, and goals while promoting resilience and strength-based approaches.
- Build trusting, confidential, respectful, and nonjudgmental relationships with parents and caregivers.
- Help families better understand their child's diagnosis, treatment options, available services, and community resources.
- Encourage caregivers to build confidence, strengthen parenting skills, and effectively utilize family and community supports.
- Connect families with support groups, parent education, recreational opportunities, and other community resources.
- Participate in program evaluation activities, fidelity monitoring, and documentation as required.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Qualifications Required
- Current or former biological, adoptive, or kinship parent (or primary caregiver) of a child with emotional, behavioral, mental health, and/or substance use challenges.
- Experience navigating Virginia's behavioral health system on behalf of a child.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while providing compassionate, family-centered support.
- Comfortable learning Electronic Health Record (EHR) software.
- Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work two evenings per week until 7:00 PM.
- Valid drivers license
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred but not required
