Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (Fee-For-Service) ONE DAY A WEEK
Wound Care Specialists LLC (WCS) is a Connecticut owned, industry leading physician and nurse practitioner practice group providing specialized wound care management to close to 200 post-acute and long-term care facilities across New England expanding into North Carolina. Our providers conduct weekly bedside consultations in skilled nursing facilities with superior clinical outcomes, exceptional healing rates, and significantly reduced wound related complications and hospitalizations.
We are looking for an awesome NP to join the team in a Fee-For-Service status for the Charlotte area one day a week as we grow with opportunity to transition to part time and full time if desired as you grow with us! Also an opportunity to work this along your other position if you are just seeking extra opportunities.
A Fee-For-Service wound NP with WCS works in tandem with the designated wound nurse from the facilities to check on patients and provider wound care during the coverage request to maintain continuity of care in our facilities.
Functions:
- Participate in bedside wound rounds with facility nursing staff on a coverage basis
- Change dressings and perform debridement as deemed necessary
- Establish plan of care until subsequent visit
- Work within facility protocols and formulary
Qualifications:
- Strong wound knowledge and experience required
- Wound care certification not required, but preferred
- Current Medical License to practice in the state of NC required
