The job responsibilities include:
- Contributes to the nursing process, and implements a resident plan of care.
- Performs direct nursing services such as administering treatments and to assist in assessments and evaluation; assists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Delegates suitable components of care to nursing assistants; provides guidance and supervision when necessary.
- Assists in resident and family health teaching and rehabilitation.
- Consults and validates data with the RN; records and reports pertinent information; provides explanations to families and other staff.
- Recognizes and reports safety hazards.
- May assume team leader duties when assigned under the direction of an RN.
- Identifies and evaluates the resident’s response to health problems and treatments.
- Communicates resident care needs and approach to other personnel involved in care.
- Assumes responsibility for own professional growth and development; plans and/or participates in conferences and classes to improve knowledge and practice resident care; attends in-service programs and monthly staff meetings that are provided to facilitate compliance with government regulations. Participates in the nursing service quality assurance program.
- Interprets philosophy and objectives of the facility and the nursing service to residents, families, and other employees when necessary.
- Other duties upon request.
Qualification Requirements:
- Licensed Nurse in the state of Ohio
- Experience in nursing preferred, not required
