We are seeking an experienced driver (must be hazmat endorsed) to join our team of professional, customer-focused drivers in the Permian Basin. We are only looking for candidates that currently live in the Permian Basin region.
You will be responsible for safely operating assigned equipment and ensuring loads are delivered on time to the utmost satisfaction of our customers. Experience with hauling liquid hazmat products, preferably acids and chemicals, is required. This candidate must also be willing to work weekends and nights if necessary.
PAY:
- Pay from $1,750 to $2,500 per week (paid by the load)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Legal authority to operate a Class 8 commercial motor vehicle in an interstate basis in the United States
- Haul loads assigned locally, regionally and interstate
- Safely load, transport and unload palletized products, dry bulk products and/or liquid chemical products (hazardous materials like chemicals and acids)
- Lift and carry product bags and/or hoses weighing up to 50 pounds
- Properly secure load following company procedures and state and federal DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection according to company procedures and state and federal DOT regulations
- Ensure actual load contents match load documentation, ensure load documentation complies with state and federal DOT regulations and ensure load and vehicle is properly placarded in compliance with state and federal DOT regulations if load contents are considered regulated
- Ability to follow directions and routes assigned by the dispatch office
- Obtain load delivery confirmation signatures on required documentation
- Maintain Hours of Service log following applicable state and federal regulations utilizing ELD employed by the company; comply with state and federal DOT hours of service regulations
- Turn in signed load documentation in accordance with company procedures
- Report equipment defects and malfunctions to dispatch office in a timely manner
- Report accidents, traffic violations and damage to equipment to the dispatch office immediately
- Available to work all legal duty hours on all scheduled shifts; maintain a clean working environment
- Wear proper PPE when required according to company policy and customer’s policies - All required PPE is provided by the company
- Must be able and willing to work weekends
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in hauling hazardous chemicals or acid is required
- Minimum of 3 years CMV driving experience (Deal Breaker)
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Must be dependable and ready to work when called or assigned
- Professional communication skills, dependable and punctual, possess excellent time management skills, possess strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain professional and cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work
- Strong work ethic and reliable
