Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pipe Foreman to lead and oversee pipeline construction projects from start to finish. In this vital role, you will coordinate field crews, ensure safety compliance, and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. Your expertise in construction management, project scheduling, and technical schematics will drive project success while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. As a Pipe Foreman, you will play a key role in managing resources, supervising teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to specifications.
Duties
- Lead and supervise pipeline construction crews, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications
- Coordinate daily operations on the construction site, including scheduling, resource allocation, and task prioritization
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation processes
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other safety regulations through regular site inspections and safety meetings
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and assist with construction estimating using HeavyBid or similar tools
- Conduct quality control checks on materials and workmanship to meet industry standards and client expectations
- Oversee the use of specialized equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical testing of pipeline systems
- Collaborate with project managers on contracts, change orders, and project documentation to maintain clear communication
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction management with a focus on pipeline projects
- Supervising experience leading field crews in heavy civil or pipeline construction environments
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings related to pipelines
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety
- Ability to utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing within pipeline systems
- Skilled in project scheduling, budgeting, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent management skills with a proven track record of supervising teams effectively
- Familiarity with contracts management and construction estimating processes
- Hands-on experience with construction site activities including quality control measures
