Duties
- Prepare a variety of menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards rigorously to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Execute cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, roasting, and plating to meet presentation standards
- Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and seasonal specials
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy service hours
- Maintain proper food handling procedures and adhere to dietary department guidelines when applicable
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Proven culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant settings, demonstrating advanced knife skills and food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Strong skills in meal preparation, cooking, and food service operations
