Maryland Family Resource, Inc. is an outpatient mental health center that provides a continuum of mental health services for individuals with psychiatric disorders in Prince George's County, MD. We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the following position:
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Worker (Long Term Contract) The Psychiatric Rehabilitation worker (independent contractor) works to assist individuals with mental illness to reach a higher level of independence. Services which are provided are individualized and based upon a detailed needs assessment which is conducted on each consumer. The PRP Worker provides support with accessing and coordinating benefits, services and community-based resources. PRP services are provided on-site, within the home, and in the community. The consumer receives assistance with learning and developing improved daily living skills (i.e. personal hygiene, organizational skills, time management skills, nutrition, and money management), as well as working towards achieving healthy coping mechanisms. The PRP worker receives weekly supervision and support. Flexible schedule, part time or full time available. Bachelor’s Degree required (Concentration in a Human Services preferred). ).
Working experience as a PRP worker is highly preferred.
