What YOU need for this role:
- Valid Class A driver's license
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Must pass MVR check (no major violations 5 yrs), background check, and Clearinghouse (No Open Violations)
- 2+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience required
- Touch freight
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Skilled in maneuvering 53ft trucks
- Familiar with GPS systems
- This is customer facing: Must be Reliable, Safe, and Professional
- Doubles/Triples Endorsement a plus!
Position Responsibilities:
- Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle
- Pick up loads and organize goods in an ordered, logical manner
- Load freight following guidelines
- Report to upper management
- Secure cargo to prevent damage
- Handle and unload goods safely and efficiently
- Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to complete deliveries
- Stay on a predetermined and dedicated route
- Communicate with dispatch as needed
- Match shipment contents to manifest
- Inspect your vehicle before and after each trip
- Check road and weather conditions
- Report any maintenance or delivery issues
- Obey traffic laws and drive safely
- Comply with FMCSA and DOT regulations
- Partial scanning as needed
