Irvington Union Free School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Spanish educator to fill two consecutive long-term leave replacement assignments during the 2026-2027 school year. This unique opportunity offers the possibility of continuous employment from September through February while working with students in both middle and high school.
September through November 2026
November 2026 through February 2027
Qualified candidates may be considered for both assignments or for either assignment individually.
Job Qualifications
New York State certification in Spanish (or eligibility for certification)
Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in world language instruction
Ability to create engaging, communicative, and culturally responsive learning experiences
Experience teaching or willingness to teach a range of learners, including Advanced Placement students
