Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising and engaging children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Support classroom activities by implementing age-appropriate lessons and play-based learning experiences.
- Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting children as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by following health and safety protocols diligently.
- Collaborate with lead teachers to manage classroom behavior and promote positive social interactions.
- Help with daily routines such as nap times, outdoor play, and snack times to ensure smooth transitions throughout the day.
- Support special needs children by applying inclusive teaching strategies and working closely with specialists when necessary.
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early education best practices.
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar caregiving roles.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques to foster a respectful and engaging learning environment.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations with First Aid certification preferred.
- Familiarity with special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, parents, and children effectively.
