Overview
Bard Tales is a boutique video production company and post-production studio that creates commercial, corporate, and broadcast content regularly for a wide range of clients. We're looking for an entry-level, detail-oriented Assistant Editor/Office Production Assistant to support our team during a busy production season. This role is primarily hybrid and candidates must be available to work from our Northern Virginia (inside the beltway) office 1 day per week with the occasional other on-location tasks inside the greater DMV metro region.
This position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week, though hours may increase significantly during peak production periods. Duties will span assistant editing roles (organizing media, cutting selects reels, assisting with administrative editorial tasks) and office production assistant roles (helping the producers and coordinators with administrative tasks, equipment management, helping to write copy for our social media channels). Candidates should be flexible and available to work up to and potentially beyond 40 hours per week when project demands require it, including potential night and weekend work. Time after 40 hours incurs overtime pay.
An ideal fit could transition into a full-time role, which would incur our benefits package: health, retirement, paid vacation days.
