Our Lady of Mount Carmel School (OLMC) in Boonton, NJ is a classical Catholic PreK-8 academy. Lumen Gentium Academy (LGA) is an independent classical liberal-arts high school in its fifth year of operation, sharing the same classical model and overall mission.
OLMC is seeking candidates for full-time instruction in Science for grades 6-8 for the 2026-27 school year.
Candidates must bring a love for their subject matter, dedication to their students, a commitment to academic excellence, and devotion to God to the classroom.
Experience with classical instruction is desirable; an eagerness to inspire students with a love of learning is indispensable.
Cross-disciplinary subject area expertise and instructional experience are highly desirable. Compensation is competitive with established schools in the region, and commensurate with experience.
Strong candidates will have an entrepreneurial spirit, an enthusiasm for working in a close tutorial relationship with small classes of students, and eagerness to build an enduring institution of inestimable worth.
Qualifications

- bachelor’s degree, preferably in the subject area of instruction (middle school science)
- teaching experience is preferred; a passion to impart a love of learning to students is required
