Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Technician specializing in concrete construction to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive safety inspections on concrete construction sites, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions promptly.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols aligned with OSHA, NEC, and local regulations to ensure ongoing compliance across all project phases.
- Monitor construction activities to manage risks effectively, including reviewing work procedures and conducting site risk assessments.
- Provide safety training sessions for workers on topics such as hazard recognition, proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incident reports, and compliance documentation using construction management software.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction management teams to integrate safety measures into daily operations seamlessly.
- Stay current with industry standards related to EHS (Environmental Health & Safety), workers' compensation policies, and OSHA updates to continuously improve safety practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles and occupational health standards within the construction industry.
- Experience with OSHA regulations, NEC standards, workers' compensation procedures, and compliance management.
- Proficiency in construction management software for recordkeeping and reporting purposes.
