Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by following food safety sanitizing procedures throughout the kitchen.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, demonstrating knife skills and familiarity with food production processes.
- Assist in dishwashing duties to ensure a clean and organized work environment while supporting overall kitchen operations.
- Follow menu planning guidelines and collaborate with team members to deliver timely service during busy periods.
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or catering setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is essential.
- Experience working in high-volume kitchens or fine dining establishments is a plus.
- Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience can be advantageous.
- Strong knife skills, attention to detail in food handling, and understanding of food industry best practices are required.
