Position Summary
Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children in their homes under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Therapy focuses on teaching communication, social, play, daily living, and behavioral skills through engaging, individualized activities that become part of each family's everyday routine.
Because therapy is provided in the home, RBTs have the unique opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children and caregivers while helping families create lasting progress in real-life situations.
What You'll Do
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes.
- Travel to scheduled therapy sessions throughout our service area.
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA.
- Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills through structured, engaging activities.
- Collect accurate session data and documentation to monitor progress.
- Communicate professionally with parents and caregivers regarding session activities and progress, as appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with your supervising BCBA through ongoing communication, weekly supervision, and feedback.
- Maintain client confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards.
- Foster a safe, positive, and encouraging learning environment for every child.

Previous experience working with children, whether in education, childcare, healthcare, camps, coaching, or related settings, is a plus—but not required.
Training & Support
At ABA Services of Alabama, you'll never be on your own. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training, ongoing clinical support, and weekly BCBA supervision to help you build confidence and continue developing your skills.
Applicants who are not yet Registered Behavior Technicians are welcome to apply. We provide guidance throughout the RBT certification process, including on-the-job training, and expect team members to complete the required 40-hour training and actively work toward certification.
