Role Description
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Field Service Electrical Automation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have developed strong expertise in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and industrial equipment, as well as the flexibility and willingness to travel for projects across the United States.
This role requires strong knowledge of electrical components, control systems, and the ability to ensure safe and efficient operations in a manufacturing or industrial environment as well as knowledge of PLC systems. Experience in industrial electrical maintenance is required
This position includes a wide range of duties, and while the core responsibilities are listed below, the specific tasks may vary depending on the facility or department within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and industrial equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and control systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues in machinery and production lines to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Work with control systems and interfaces such as HMI and basic PLC troubleshooting (AB/Siemens)
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance.
Technical Skills
- Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Preventive and corrective maintenance
- Knowledge of control panels and industrial wiring
- Familiarity with PLC systems (basic level)
- Experience with industrial equipment and machinery
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs and industrial communication systems is a plus.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel for projects across the United States.
