Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are sanitized and ready for use. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and providing excellent service to our guests.
Duties
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all equipment is functioning properly.
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes during peak service times.
- Support kitchen staff by keeping the work area organized and stocked with clean dishes and utensils.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and health regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in cleaning tasks as assigned, including sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations.
