About the Role
Micharona Consulting performs practical cybersecurity gap assessments for SMBs and service providers. This contractor role focuses on interviewing stakeholders, reviewing documentation, and identifying control gaps using our frameworks, then documenting clear findings and recommendations.
What You'll Do
- Conduct structured gap assessment interviews with client IT, operations, and leadership.
- Review policies, procedures, diagrams, and other artifacts to understand the current environment.
- Identify strengths, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities across core security domains.
- Produce clear, client-facing reports using our templates and style.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience with IT/cybersecurity controls in SMB or MSP contexts.
- Familiarity with general best practices or frameworks (NIST CSF, similar) is helpful.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; able to translate technical findings into business language.
- Comfortable working as a 1099 contractor on defined assessment projects.
Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
