In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers to transport freight efficiently and safely over long distances. Your expertise in driving various types of trucks, including those with refrigerated trailers will ensure timely deliveries and satisfied customers. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo integrity and compliance with safety standards.
- Transport refrigerated goods.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify safety concerns before and after each trip.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery documentation in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while prioritizing safety and fuel efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and resolve any issues during transit.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid Class A CDL license; familiarity with automatic transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience operating refrigerated trailers is highly desirable.
- Excellent route planning skills to optimize delivery times while maintaining safety standards.
- Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and customer service representatives.
- Prior delivery driver experience with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction.
Pay: $800.00 - $2,200.00 per week
